LumyEYE is a 100% voice-based mobile application designed to help visually impaired and blind people better understand and interact with their environment. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it provides accurate, real-time descriptions of what surrounds you.
What are the main features of LumyEYE?
Photo Feature: Take a photo while asking a question (eg. “Where are my glasses?”) and receive a detailed description.
Real-Time Vision Feature: Activate the camera and get an instant description of objects and obstacles in front of you.
Reading and analyzing documents: Take a photo of a text (book, letter, notice) and listen to it being read or interpreted.
Rich voice search: Ask questions and receive precise answers via intelligent internet search.
How is LumyEYE different from other apps?
Unlike existing applications, LumyEYE is entirely vocal, without the need to press buttons. It also offers intelligent interaction with the ability to ask questions and refine descriptions in real time, to question documents that have been photographed by asking for details, which is not the case with other solutions.
Aren't electronic magnifiers more suitable?
Electronic magnifiers with screens offer powerful zoom but are limited in functionality. They are expensive, bulky, and must be carried separately. LumyEYE, on the other hand, not only magnifies text but also reads it aloud, describes objects, analyzes documents, and offers real-time assistance, all in one app.
How is LumyEYE different from other apps?

Does LumyEYE work with internet connection?
Yes, to allow the application to communicate with the AI, it is necessary to have an internet connection, in GSM network or wifi.
Can LumyEYE recognize faces?
No, the app is designed to analyze and describe objects and the environment, but it does not allow facial recognition.
Can I read a printed document with LumyEYE?
Yes. With the Document Reading and Analysis feature, LumyEYE can read aloud a printed text, a letter, an invoice or a book. You can also ask questions about the content of the document to get more details.
Is the app free?
LumyEYE offers a free trial version to discover its features. Afterwards, a subscription is available to access all functions unlimitedly.
What devices is LumyEYE available on?
LumyEYE is available on Android and iOS smartphones.
How much does LumyEYE cost compared to specialized devices?
Dedicated devices for the visually impaired often cost between 1,500 and 2,500 euros, with sometimes additional fees for software updates. LumyEYE offers a much more affordable subscription model between 14.9€ and 19.9€ per month, with an average of 190€ per year, including regular updates and scalable support with no hidden costs. It takes 13 years before reaching the cost of a 2500€ magnifying screen, which will be outdated long before!

Does the app respect data privacy?
Yes. LumyEYE does not store any images or personal data without your consent. All processed information remains confidential and it does not store your sessions whether you use the search, photo description or live view mode. During the session, Lumyeye uses the photos or text you give it, and at the end of each session this information is deleted and cannot be reused.

What are the differences with devices mounted on glasses?
Reading devices mounted on glasses are extremely expensive (around 4,000 euros). They require specific installation and technical handling (if you are not right in front of your document it will not read it). LumyEYE offers the same visual analysis and reading aloud features, but via a simple smartphone, without requiring any additional accessories. Take a photo from the side or upside down, Lumyeye will still be able to read the text!
Are free apps not enough?
Free apps offer some features but remain limited. They offer basic descriptions and require navigating between several modes, all with voices that are not at all natural. LumyEYE is 100% autonomous, instantaneous and interactive, with an advanced AI capable of analyzing and responding in real time to your requests, and with a very natural voice, among the best synthesis models.
